銀箔の色の変化も楽しみに。
ところで、狸に化かされるという昔話がありますが、現代ではあまりないことです。私は子供の頃、山のなかで狸に化かされたことがあります。心優しい狸のご夫婦からお茶とおいしいお菓子も頂いたのですが、あれは何を食べたのでしょうか？

この背景の金箔のようすは、尾形光琳作「杜若子花図屏風」に使用されていた用い方です。笑いと涙、出会いと別れの両方で成り立つことを肯定的に捉え、まばゆい金色で賛美したいという、最近の私の作風になりました。

Unusual gold leaf with a marble pattern.

By the way, there is an old story about a person being tricked by a raccoon dog, but this is something that doesn't happen often these days. When I was a child, I was tricked by a pair of very kind wife and husband raccoon dogs in the mountains with my friends. We also received tea and delicious sweets from the raccoon couple, but what did we eat acctually?

The gold leaf used in the background is the method used in a great Rimpa artist Korin Ogata's masterpiece "The Ireses". It has become my recent style to express my positive understanding of the fact that both laughter and tears, meetings and farewells are formed in base of our lives, and to praise it with cracked shining gold.
