純金箔を重ねることで、奥行きと厚み、輝きのつよさを表わした作品。一部、うえにドーサをひいて、複雑な表情にしている。
金箔のなかに瑞々しい光があらわれ、ひときわ強く輝いている。一瞬のまたたくような輝きをみせる水面のような効果を得た。
心をこめて 丁寧に制作しました。

この背景の金箔のようすは、尾形光琳作「杜若子花図屏風」に使用されていた用い方です。笑いと涙、出会いと別れの両方で成り立つことを肯定的に捉え、まばゆい金色で賛美したいという、最近の私の作風になりました。

By layering pure gold leaf, this work expresses depth, thickness, and shine of gold. Some of the pieces are topped with dosa liquid, giving it a complex look.
A fresh light appears within the gold leaf, creating an effect that resembles the surface of water with a momentary sparkle.
I made it with all my heart and care.

The gold leaf used in the background is the method used in a great Rimpa artist Korin Ogata's masterpiece "The Ireses". It has become my recent style to express my positive understanding of the fact that both laughter and tears, meetings and farewells are formed in base of our lives, and to praise it with cracked shining gold.
