日本画は天然の素材で描き、自然の宝箱をあけたような絵画です。
薔薇色の背景に、金箔を貼り、並べました。
思い描いた夢と、苦労して掴んだ経験。そのどちらもが、ひとりひとりを創っている。そのどちらもあることを期待して、皆がこの世界に生まれてきているようです。黄金のように堂々と輝くのは、夢よりも経験の方ですね。
金箔の表情は、一瞬の手の動きで決まります。一生がほんとうに瞬く間の経験であることを、絵を通して体験して制作しました。

この背景の金箔のようすは、尾形光琳作「杜若子花図屏風」に使用されていた用い方です。笑いと涙、出会いと別れの両方で成り立つことを肯定的に捉え、まばゆい金色で賛美したいという、最近の私の作風になりました。

Since Nihon-ga Japanese paintings are painted with natural materials, painting experience is like opening a natural treasure box.
Gold leaf was arranged and pasted on a rose-colored background.
The dreams we envisioned and the experiences we struggled to gain. Both create each person. Everyone is born into this world expecting to have both of them. Experiences must shine brightly like gold, rather than dreams.
The expression of gold leaf is determined by a momentary movement of the hand. Through painting, I experience that life is truly a fleeting short-moment experience.

The gold leaf used in the background is the method used in a great Rimpa artist Korin Ogata's masterpiece "The Ireses". It has become my recent style to express my positive understanding of the fact that both laughter and tears, meetings and farewells are formed in base of our lives, and to praise it with cracked shining gold.
