きゅっと口を堅くひき結んだような作品になり、つぐむと名付けました。
沈黙と静寂のなかを、金箔が徐々に変色していく様子を、じっくりと鑑賞して楽しむことができるのではないでしょうか。
やがて金箔の色が落ち着き、背景に隠れている群青や緑青といった、すばらしい日本画の色彩が、鮮やかに見えてくると思います。

この背景の金箔のようすは、尾形光琳作「杜若子花図屏風」に使用されていた用い方です。笑いと涙、出会いと別れの両方で成り立つことを肯定的に捉え、まばゆい金色で賛美したいという、最近の私の作風になりました。

The result was a work that seemed to be tightly closed mouth, and I named it Tsugumu, being silent.
You can enjoy watching the gold leaf gradually change color in silence and stillness.
Eventually, I expect the wonderful colors of Japanese paintings, such as "the gunjo (the ultramarine blue)" and "the rokusho (the verdigr) is hidden in the background, will become more vividly visible as the gold leaf color sink down.

The gold leaf used in the background is the method used in a great Rimpa artist Korin Ogata's masterpiece "The Ireses". It has become my recent style to express my positive understanding of the fact that both laughter and tears, meetings and farewells are formed in base of our lives, and to praise it with cracked shining gold.
